Membership Requirements
According to VCAN Bylaws, memberships will be awarded in the following categories:
Full Membership · This will be given to professionals employed by law enforcement agencies within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Such members will have voting authority.
Associate Membership · This will be given to other professionals and/or persons (including students) who deal or are involved with the criminal justice community, including those involved outside the Commonwealth of Virginia. Such members will not have voting authority.
Corporate Membership · This will be given to private concerns, such as vendors, etc. Such members will not have voting authority.
Agency Membership · This will be given to agencies with individuals from the same agency in the area of law enforcement, criminal justice, criminology, police science, or related fields. Such members will only be allowed one vote from that agency. Agency memberships have three categories:
Agencies with 4-7 members
Agencies with 8-11 members
Agencies with 12 or more members
